Excitement is building for this year’s Glastonbury festival as the Arcadia line-up has been revealed, promising an electrifying experience for electronic music fans. Returning to the Arcadia area is the iconic Spider installation, accompanied by an impressive roster of electronic music heavyweights. The Chemical Brothers are back at Glastonbury for 2023.

The highly anticipated line-up, unveiled on May 12, includes renowned acts such as Floating Points, Daphni, Dubkasm, Plastician, Chloé Robinson, and Skream. Notably, Skepta and Jammer (Más Tiempo) will deliver an exhilarating back-to-back performance. For a full list of artists, check out the official announcement.

Of all the exciting acts announced, the legendary electronic duo, The Chemical Brothers, stands out. After having to cancel their set at Glastonbury 2022 due to band member Tom Rowlands contracting COVID, they are back with a bang. The duo will grace the festival with a DJ set on Friday, June 23, and shared the thrilling news with fans in a recent social media update.

However, the real star of the Arcadia area is the awe-inspiring Spider installation. This massive 50-tonne creation, founded by Pip Rush and Bert Cole, is famous for its fiery displays and has become a symbol of the festival itself. Built primarily from recycled military hardware, the Spider first appeared at Glastonbury in 2010 and remained a fixture for several years until it was temporarily replaced by the Pangea crane in 2019. Last year marked its long-awaited return, and this year will be its second consecutive appearance at Worthy Farm.

In addition to the Arcadia Spider, Glastonbury organizers have also announced the new Woodsies area, featuring the Woodsies Main Stage (formerly known as the John Peel Stage) and the adjacent wooded area. The Woodsies area will host performances by talented artists like Rina Sawayama, Måneskin, Warpaint, and Christine & The Queens.

And that’s not all! The festival’s late-night area, Shangri-La, has its own exciting line-up, including The Streets’ Mike Skinner, Nia Archives, Skindred, Cassyette, Flava D, Sam Divine, and Empire State Bastard.

Glastonbury has truly left no stone unturned when it comes to delivering a diverse and captivating musical experience. Other recently announced stages include West Holts, featuring headline sets by Kelis, Loyle Carner, and Rudimental, as well as the Silver Hayes area. Field Of Avalon will host the likes of Will Young, The Damned, Melanie C, Jake Shears, Laura Mvula, and more. The Left Field line-up will include Benefits, Cavetown, Big Joanie, and other talented artists.

With headliners such as Arctic Monkeys, Guns N’ Roses, and Elton John, and a star-studded list of performers including Lizzo, Lewis Capaldi, Lana Del Rey, The War On Drugs, Lil Nas X, Chvrches, Thundercat, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Manic Street Preachers, this year’s Glastonbury promises to be an unforgettable celebration of music and art.

As the anticipation continues to build, festival-goers can’t wait to immerse themselves in the magical world of Glastonbury, where legendary acts, breathtaking installations, and a vibrant atmosphere await.
