Glastonbury Festival announces a female powerhouse
In a highly-anticipated announcement, the Glastonbury Festival 2024 has revealed its stellar line-up featuring Dua Lipa, Coldplay, SZA, and Shania Twain as headline acts. Set to take place at Worthy Farm in Somerset from June 26 to June 30, the festival promises an unforgettable experience.
Breaking tradition, this year’s headliners include two female acts, marking a historic moment for the event. Dua Lipa, the chart-topping pop princess, expressed her excitement at headlining the Friday night Pyramid Stage, calling it a dream come true.
Including Brit Award-winning rapper Little Simz, Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy, and the iconic Canadian star Shania Twain, set to captivate audiences on the legendary Sunday slot.
The diverse line-up boasts names like LCD Soundsystem, PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Kiwanuka, and Janelle Monae, promising an eclectic mix of music across multiple stages. Notably, K-pop sensation Seventeen is set to make history as the first K-pop band to grace the Pyramid Stage.
Glastonbury Festival line up on The Other Stage will see electrifying performances from IDLES, Disclosure, The National, The Streets, Two Door Cinema Club, Avril Lavigne, and rising stars The Last Dinner Party, among others.
Adding to the excitement, festival organisers hinted at more acts and attractions yet to be announced, promising an even more spectacular event.
A resale of tickets is expected in April for those who missed out initially.
