Karma Drinks, a Kiwi brand founded in 2012, has a mission to create Fair Trade, organic beverages that not only taste good but are good for the land and the growers. The brand has a global footprint in more than 20 countries and is committed to promoting sustainability and making a positive impact on the communities of growers it serves.
Karma Drinks has continued to innovate and adapt to the global pandemic, prioritising the domestic market in New Zealand and rolling out a new range of drinks. The brand plans to expand into new markets and evolve its drinks range to include plant-based drinks, natural energy, and reduced sugar products in response to consumer needs. Karma Drinks has seen a consumer trend towards making more sustainable food/drinks, ‘shop local’, organic, and ethical purchases. The brand plans to champion change in the food industry and be a positive force for change for people and the planet.
The company has launched seven new products since the pandemic began and is continuing to support the communities it serves via its Karma Foundation. Karma Drinks plans to raise capital to continue its innovation and expansion plans into the U.S. and the UK, Europe, and Australasian markets.
Karma Drinks was founded by three friends, Simon Coley and brothers Matt and Chris Morrison, who shared a vision of creating a sustainable and organic cola drink that also supported the growers who provided the raw ingredients. The business started on a beach, using cola nuts from a small village in Sierra Leone, and has since grown into a global brand with a presence in 23 countries and over 28 million drinks sold. Despite their success, the company remains true to its values and continues to create Fair Trade, organic beverages that not only taste great but also contribute to the greater good.
